Just last Thursday, there was a disaster in Petaling Jaya.
It was the collapse of Jaya Supermarket Section 14.
Involving 9 workers and only 2 survived from the incident.
This collapse has a really low chance of survival
because the building is empty nothing but concrete ceilings
to concrete floors.
The 2 survivors were lucky to be alive because they were at
the side of the construction area.

Half of the building collapsed at around 4.45pm.

I was involved in the Voluntary Aid Detachment so i gave a helping
hand to this unexpected incident. The members and I were on
stand-by mode, ready to help any casualties but sadly,
7/9 of the victims were all dead. Not only that we were
giving our first-aid treatments to our brave rescue teams on site.

The bodies found were not really in complete shape but some
they actually found parts of them. Come to think of it i felt really
sad for the victims.

So I hope in the future, the management of any company
should have a proper demolition plan before demolition of a
building. Thank goodness, this time it didn't injured any passerby
and the houses. Really thankful to the Police, SMART, IKRAM, PPUM,
BOMBA, RELA for their endless support.

This is a random post.

these past few weeks, as my dad was sending me

back from college to home. I felt amazed and

weirdly happy as i look into the big, blue sky of PJ.

That week was quite a hot week i suppose.. didn't really

rained much or even at all.

when i looked at the clouds and the sky,

i felt calm and all my stress just faded away

like no one's business haha..it is true though.

It is like a moment of Peace that i got from all

the assignments and matters going on in college

and life.

Unforgettable Redang

At last... i finally found the time and effort

to actually update my blog. Time passes really fast.

it's been like a month already since my vacation

to Redang with my pals. Loved it to bits.

1 of my most unforgettable vacation ever!

This was my first time going on a vacay with so

many friends.. It was fun and nvr tiring at all.

those happiness made me forget what fatigue

is all about.

We barely got to sleep in the 6hrs drive in the bus

though it is comfy inside because of the never

ending conversations everywhere LOL

felt sorry for other passengers that wanted to have

a good night rest ahah

So after the long wait, we went for breakfast

Thank Goodness...FOOD!!!

ahhaha after that...

we went on the speed boat to Redang Island!
not forgetting some camwhoring sessions!

We were kinda unlucky...one of the engine of the speed

boat was broken so...our journey to the island

took us around 1hr plus.. really bored on the boat..

so i slept LOL..

Alright...finally..we reached shore...got our luggages..

waited for the room keys...and YES....we got our rooms!

what we did was FIRST, on the aircond to full fan speed
then.. settle the luggages and set where you wanna sleep

hhahah...

strip the shirt and

never ever missed the sun screen part..

really important since our ozone layer is not even thin...

it has holes on it already~!!!

OFF WE GO!!

well we went for lunch first though...haha

then the swimming pool..sports..chats..relaxation!

Well I really wished that we could spend 1 more nihgt there..

cause all we did seriously were just

play..sleep..eat..snorkle..chat..relax..tan..chat more!!

the funny part here was the beach soccer game we had..

we have audiences lol...

not sure they were there to watch us play like noobies or

like pros hahaha..well i think as noobies hehe

it is not easy to play on sand though..the sand is so soft.

everytime we ran, we gasp for air even more...

darn it we played like noobies haha.

We also did snorkling. The sea water is really salty..

to an extend it was bitter...

the sea water was really clear but i know

somewhere out there, there would be a clearer one.

really fun lol...seeing leo with no swimming skills,

ky and his camera wrapped up with plastic bag,

nikki jumping off the jetty into the sea continuosly

ahhaha..such great moments!

Well, at the firts place i didnt know that this Partay was for

single pple lol...all thanks to Nana's blurness... all she knew

was just a party at Luna Bar that is it...nothing else.............

We had fun there though hanging out and chilling under the

sun's ray..(we got no where else to sit) seeing the sunset

eating alll the finger food they have there right form smoked

slamon rolled with asparagus and mayonaisse, fried spring rolls,

sushi, chocolate cake, free flow of juices and mocktail.

we decided to settle down and have dinner.

After having dinner..i stop by Pun Chun to get

Kai Chai Peng (Little Chicken Biscuit)

and as we were walking back to out car..

we stop by Kwong Woh Tong to have a taste of perfection LOL..

for such a hot day...really warm these few days...

Announcement of Results...

Finally, I got my Dip. in Hotel Management. Am very happy but at the same time sad because some of my friends are not continueing for the 2nd Year Degree Programme.

I am very satisfied with my results :)

Un Rendezvous Avec Miriam

this would be one of the memories in my life that i

would never forget....meeting miriam in one of the

renowned airports in the world, KLIA is truly amazing.

what more can i say...miriam you are beautiful!

This was really an amazing experience that i gained...

Having exams still in that week made me doubt on going to

see her at the airport neither her concert..

i have been thinking about this matter the whole term6

of my course...when i received the timetable of term6 i came

to know that my freaking exam clashes with her concert date

my heart sank into the really deep sea even the minerales

in the sea couldn't float it back up...

and all i could do is pray for my Finals Timetable to be out.

well i was thinking since the Fanclub have plans on welcoming

miriam in the airport..i might as well joined since i wasn't sure

whetehr was i going to attend her concert.. and thinking back again

will the welcoming day clashes with my exams again?

GOD knows...thanks to my prayers...my both wishes came true!

Wish #1

i was actually taking the risk to see her in the airport because

it was during the Finals Exam week... on Thursday, was the day

of my last written papper...it was really a relieved...3hrs doing english..

siao!haha....finished the paper...around 12pm

i made my move form college at about 1pm , took the ktm to kl central

to meet up with my friend to go together economically with a fare of

rm18 for 2 ways...

reached there around 3pm++ and gatehred with other excited

waiting fans...well to be honest this was all our FIRST TIME...

have thoughts to do it again though ahha...trust me...

it is really FUN FUN FUN!!

we also made her a small little scrap book with

words that all of us wanted to say to miriam..

CX 0725 would be it!! arrived at 4.34pm...

we really waited for her for more than an hour cause of many reasons..

the worst part is that it was the Arab season....tons of arabians

were pouring in like a never-ending waterfall...

C'est Interessant!!

it was suppose to be Miriam's Day haha not arabians~~

as we waited...waited ....and waited...

finally we saw her!!hehe

we were so nervous...we were like a stampede running

towards her direction without even looking at other

passer by..hhah..we really FOCUSED on her alot...

all i did was to take pictures of her...

i was really shocked and speechless...

besides us..there are 3 HK fans as well that waited for her

Wish #2

after the intense exam of French oral on friday...
finally her concert day is here..i really waited for this concert
for about 2 years...and when they said this was her
last All About Love concert tour...
i am really lucky because she included Malaysia
in her tour!!

took the bus there form 1u to genting..which cost me
around rm6+ inclusive of the cable car...

when i reached genting...i went to gather with other fans
at the entrance of Genting Hotel
wen i reached there...they told me that miriam will be
coming down from her room at 3.30pm
for hair and make-up backstage..
of course...i waited hahaha
when she came down....as usual..we greeted her

she sarted the conversation lol...really happy..
she told us that she read the scrap book we did to her..
we did it with our hearts... besides that she also mention about the
albums that she will be autographing it later
because she dont really have time..and will return to us the next day.

we shared a room of 6 supposedly 8...at First World Hotel
after seeing miriam unexpectedly...we went to the room to rest for a while
to prepare ourselves for the concert haha..

weird...someone threw newspaper out from their hotel window...

the famous honey chicken wings...left with bones..

talking bout chicken wings....this time we were very very lucky...

1st round - we went and fight for the wings...ended up getting about 4

wings....so our neighbour gave us half of their plate of wings

cause of sympathy or we are just plain losers??? wth who cares...

all we need is food anyways...especially the wings haha

so we got it and ate it hahaha...

2nd round - our dearest neighbour...again went to get those delicious

wings again..(for us?? hahah) well Hell Yeah~~!!

the way he got those wings was like Flash...fast and steady..

the consistency of him clipping away for those wings with the tongs

was mind blasting hahaha.. at first we didnt think that we have a second

angel serving us the chicken wings to us as if we were the kings there..

fortunately...Second angel does exist!!!~~ ahhahaha

he came back to his seat and then offered us the whole plate of it

Reason~~they were leaving...they just took the wings for fun/to be part

of the game in Yuen lol....there we were spoilt with chicken wings again~~

VAD Duty @ Stadium Titiwangsa

Its been quite a while i didnt blog here lol.. sorry bout that

it is either i am busy or i am lazy ahhahaha..so i would like to

post about my duty at Stadium Titiwangsa last year..

more post to come ..all i need is time to upload those pics and blog about them

cause without pic i think it is a bit empty...

here goes...

Vad = Voluntary Aid Detachment.. we normally help the society

by giving first aid duty in various types of occasions

mostly public events and sometimes private events too...

well this duty my fellow mates and i had was to just standby

in case anything happen during the whole of the event..

this time..obviously would be about cats ahhaha

maybe they gone wild and scratch the owner or something..

lol...

this event was organised by Whiskas... so called the first CATS GATHERING

LOL....funny huh...anyways...it was diff as it was the first right..

looks like cats do love to hang out too huh...

to me...i think it is a bit weird cause the cats are gathered together

just to together and then go home...???????

isn't this a bit waste of time? maybe some might enjoy it ...

but not me.. maybe they should have added some other programme

to actually make this event more meaningful

maybe some cat performance or some skill competition form the cats

or something...

A Day @ KL Pac

The trip started at McD for breakfast @ Uptown

i ordered Fillet O' Fish Set..lol

my friends and i were happily eating by the glass window

and *PanG* lie a bird on the floor outside lol..

this is hilarious i could say..considered lucky to actually

be in this kind of situation haha.. the bird is definitely

very dizzy and i think black out for a few minutes..

after a while...it started to wake up and it stone there for a while too haha

kesian it but..what to do..

my friend, wen loong...got nothing better to do...

he went up to go up close and personal with the poor little birdie~~

and he was kind enough to give it french fries...

On our way back....we spotted a building owned by KFC

where they have their trainings there as well...

it's called "Pusat Latihan KFC Training Center"...

Overall...the play was great and it's more musical than talking.. and yea it is real fun

the songs they sang and the lyrics were hilarious .. worth every single penny of mine.

would definitely go for other comedy plays in the future and also in supporting of Malaysia Local Theatre Production!

A Great Night in Prison

lol...
food promotion is finally over...ended with happy tears...
such a great accomplishment though it wasn't perfect..
pressure was Freaking High as the head in decor..

but with all my mates helping...there wasnt any obstacles ahead
that god it went smoothly with the black cloths still attacted to the wall...
though some were peeling off like dog ears..

i hope i learned my lessons as the head of decor
i of course wasn't the best one but i did my best..
this is a very meaningful event to me
in the future i hope this will be a topic for us to talk and laugh about
learning from our mistakes is important... or else we will nvr learn

looking back now...it was really funny LOL...
i could just imagine the nervous and tense faces of everyone that day itself
especially the performers and mc
they did a great job...

i found this flyer in my letter box.. it says "Blood Bank Need More Blood to meet an upsurge in demand during the festive season"...

is this sentence neccessary for a Blood Donation Campaign??? this is my first time hearing this kind of quotes... I've organised 1 before but didnt really force the public to donate if they can't lol..

For privacy purpose..i dont want to reveal the organiser for this campaign...

i think they should make better sentences next time..

Another Food Review~~

this time i tried out this restaurant called My Elephant
hmm...funny name huh..but it is related to the food they serve of course ^^

Thai Food

this restaurant is located at Section 17..should be quite famous
that location is formerly the 6to10 Restaurant(not really sure..but something like that le..)

the space in this restaurant is quite limited as there are only about 14 tables
which could fit around 60-70 peeps..
the restaurant is furnished mostly with Ikea furnitures and decos
very simple and clean design and very confortable to dine in too!!

the weird thing is that there is only 1 chef cooking all the dishes
so peeps dining there kinda need to wait for a while for the food to prepared
well to me...it was worth the wait :P~~!!!

the price that i have listed for the food i consumed are rough figure of each dish
cause i cant remember the exact price of each but it totalled up to rm80
no gov & service tax!!

This is the first dish that i am interested in from the whole
of the menu..this is one of my fav dish all time!!!
The Vermicelli Wrapped Popiah

if i am not mistaken they called it Popiah Roll (rm4~6)

it is a bit similar to the Vietnamese rolls but

this one..they have used rough vermicelli instead

which gives you a fuller bite together with the prawns and

not forgetting the thai sauce which is sweet sour and spicy!!!

This dish is quite rare in Selangor..since i only get to eat it in

Kuching, Sarawak ..this is the Fern Stalk Fried Belacan(rm9~11)

it depends on certain peeps..some might like it some might not

it is a bit waxy and slimy as you eat it something like saliva lol..

huge bowl where peeps like us help ourselves taking

as much or little we want ngehehe...

something diff bout this place is that they serve Brown rice instead

It was a bit funny for my first day at Italiannie's.. cause of what i wore, appropriately of course..but not plain white shirt..well i didnt know that my first day will be the day i start working my a** off right...i thought it was ORIENTATION!!but sadly the orientation only took us 30 minutes or less....so freaking fast!!!

So...my first day...i didnt really got to work as a waiter, so ask me to be a Host

Well it was quite an easy job just answering calls, lead guest to table and giving out menus!!

that was a 1 day job as host.... later on 2 weeks before i ended my training...i was the Host for a week..

really enjoyed it since the past month was on floor serving...

during the host period..it was so relaxing..and i got to gossip a lot with other hostess haha

and also need not to wear my plain white shirt which i have been wearing for the whole month

bored of it...so as a Host i got to put on some of my shirts that i wore to coll all this while for classes

it lasted for 1 month which is July itself.

How to play?

rm0.5 each per cup sold to customer

Each staff has to sell at least a minimum of 60 in order to get that cash

We just got our thumbprint as a server to key in orders on the 18th July 2008
So we got like around 12 days minus the off days in order to catch up with other staffs which already started selling since the head of the month.....

hey guys...
kinda late now...but still wanna post hahaha
currently all of my days of work is form 12pm-10pm
and they called it as SwinG(whee...) hahahaha

once a week i will be getting Morning shift which is from 9am-4pm hehehe..
after that can baliks d...
and once a while will get Closing which is from 4pm till 12am ...siao giler...

so far..what have i achieved training in Italiannies is...

Stage 1
1. Getting to know the peeps.. there most of them are Philipinos...
2. Remembering the menu..which is quite easy to remember now since i already been working there for 1 week++(kacang only ahhahha)
3. Take a so called Test paper to know stuff inside the restaurant well...(services, utensils, etc)
4. Food runner
5. Bread cutter
6. Packing pasta( linguine 180g, shell pasta 230g, fettucinne 180g, angel hair 230g, spagetti 180g)
7. Wipe cutleries
8.Serve and top up drinks
9. Free gas drinks for staffs lol YaY!

Stage 2
1. Helping out at the stations
2. Taking order YAY!

Stage 3
I just accomplished this stage today...which is handling a station by myself. This is just so cool man....lucky the station they gave me was quite small , Table 30-35
Quite a big crowd today, Saturday. There were quite some turnover tonight. I did serve ang mos
tonight..very friendly...after their dinner the Host shook my hands LOL and i felt respected as a server . Thanks sir.

Stage 4
1. It will soon come true as i will be getting my thumb print to be recognise in the micros system so that i could take orders and sell the flings and smoothies to earn some extra cash.
1 drink = 50 cents. it is like a challenge to all servers.nice~~~

it's been so long not to update my blog..lol...sorry for that ahha...
this post should be up a long time ago but....there are too many pics to upload at once so as my time i have to blog about it...
well here , finally am doing it to complete my experience in Langkawi... : )

Langkawi Day 1

It's Goodbye Penang , Hello Langkawi!!!
as i remember.......after my training at Mandarin Oriental...
i've been to Penang to visit my friends there... and after 5 days in Penang,
Nana, Shae and me decided to go to Langkawi Island...

it is suppose to be more pple involved but others have their own plans and all...so we, the 3 of us just followed the plan...

We took the ferry from a Jetty in Penang and off to Langkawi island...

when we were in the ferry...we took the front seats to have more space for us...
there weren't a lot of pple on board...
as we were sitting down waiting for the ferry to take off.....something happened....

it was SOME sort of NOISE .......it was.. it was... it was...
the GEOPARK SONG.........aahhHHH.......
it was so annoying.........it has a slow malay traditional beat.....like reading a sajak....or even a syair.....it is alright if the song/video plays it once in 1 hour ....
it just kept repeating....over and over again...for about an hour....just imagine...

i included the video here fell free to listen LOL...

after a while , we just went up-stairs to the open-air section...
i was felling dizzy down there listening to the same song repeatedly...
so i went up to gasp some air...

before we reach langkawi island...we stopped at Pulau Payar...
the water is clear... a lot of fishes....

so when we reached langkawi....we are offered all the transportation they could give in that island....and we decided to rent a car....so we , with a low budget, took the iswara auto which cost us around rm40 a day which is worth it....but petrol exculded...
hahaha that time lucky the petrol price hasnt increased...so we spent around rm15 for petrol for 2 days...

there wasnt any booking down for our lodging.... so we needed to find a place to stay...
we decided to go to Pantai Cenang...to look for our Temporary Home... hahaa
and we found this chalet which cost us rm50 a night very cheap... private chalet haha... kinda cool... very small... but can fit 3 person comfortably : )
it includes a toilet as well...which dont need us to share with other strangers..
it is at Grand Beach Motel...

well one of our greatest challenge is to carry Nana's 50kg bag around LOL....
(stuff from Penang for 3 months ..no wonder it is hell of a weight!!)

i found this machine lol....that makes cement and surprisingly... it is named after my good friend ATIKA LOL>.<>

well outside the reception of that motel we found...lies a few kitten and a mama cat ...
cute ,adorable and friendly too...!!

after stacking up our luggages in that small little chalet..we went for a walk at the Cenang Beach which is just 10m away ... the sun was great...warm and cozy... the sea water , cool and clear

with no further time-wasting-moments.. we are off with our UNLOCKABLE Iswara to tour around the island...

As we are heading to Pantai Kok...we stop by to take a pic of this padi field look-alike field...

very nice place there as there were trees shading us ..

we did stop by the Berjaya Langkawi resort and also the Geopark Hostel...

well our motive to Geopark is to experience the cable car there
trust me...you will be thrilled if you are at the top of the hill over-looking
the hills and greens..
my first impression is like being in a movie like
'The Touch' or even 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon'
with all those hill scenes they have...in the movie
just terrific!!

we were lucky enough to reach the top the hills in time cause
it was about to rain...and it is freaking scary as the lightning is just above you...
after we entered...to the bridges to take beautiful photos...the security guard closed the entrance for others to come in..

we manage to make some new friends there as well...
we were in the same cable car when we are coming up...
they are from China...they have great english too...
very friendly...

Langkawi Day 2

woke up in the morning. went to the beach for a quick tan then off to take some pic.

low tide makes the beach looks deeper...revealing the shells and rocks...
so calm and peaceful.

after a great morning and breakfast
we packed our bags and checked out from out chalet...
and headed to Nadias Inn Comfort which was just a few blocks away...
on the opposite side..
it cost us rm120 a night there...
with proper toilet facilities, air-cond and TV.

after checking in and settling ourselves in the room...
we chilled in the room for a while since there is an air-cond for us...
haha..
as we are chilled enough...we headed to...

Telaga Harbour

it is a total different world here at Telaga Harbour...
from the designs to the atmosphere...

this is The Loaf...opened by our dearest...
Tun Mahathir and Grand Chef Yukichi Matsubara.
breads made using the best imported ingredients and
at the highest quality..

the interior is very french based from beach colour paints , crawling plants to the
umbrella in the middle...not forgetting the music...

it is not cheap buying these high quality breads and toast...
ranging from rm4 to rm35

As we walk further down passing the Telaga Harbour lies the Summer Palace
which was once the film setting for the movie

'Anna and the King' staring Chow Yun Fatt and Jodie Foster

it is a very sad thing that the government didnt really care to preserve this place..
it was once a beautiful set ..
although the set looks very old and ripped off...
we still took some pictures of it...

we also did a little investigation there...
wondering what happened to that place...

well so far what we got form our investigation were

1. the floors were ripped off , might be used by fishermans to build boats..
2. the place was used as a restaurant or pub as we saw the pub logo nearby there.
3. the woods have been eaten by the termites.

the weirdest thing is that the government still advertise this place for visitors...
stupid huh...

the last place we visited that day was the Tanjung Rhu
we passed by the first Four Season Hotel in Malaysia and also the Tanjung Rhu Resort.
well.. we werent able to make it through the Four Season Hotel as it was for guest only..
it was covered with tress and all ...
not even a peek inside..

Tanjung Rhu is famous for their sunset...
trust me...it was really beautiful.. although it is quite a distance from Cenang.

as we walk along the beach .. we found this huge jellyfish which looks like a
karipap lol...

we were lucky enough to see the beautiful sunset and also a RAINBOW....
it is just pure luck...as it was about to rain...
luckily it rained after the sunset ...
which we manage to take loads of picture..

after a days trip...
we finally emptied the fuel tank in our Iswara...
we returned it to the agent that rent us ...
it is nice of them to drop us at Kuah to do some shopping...
well other than those beach and sand...
we need enjoying ourselves by
buying chocolates and chocolates right....
haahah...

i find it very funny cause it was getting
late and most of the stores are actually closing soon...
and we have so many stuffs to look at and compare the prices..
we ran like chicken without our heads looking for the chocolates and
liquor...and sadly nana lost her hp in penang..

and guess what..she was having my phone that time ...
so we kinda like went separate ways to search for our stuffs...
and left nana and shae with handphones...
all i could do after shopping my stuffs is to locate them
with my blurry eyes..as i didnt wear my specs..
and thank god i saw them... lol..

woke up early enough to go Island Hopping
it was rm33 per person.
it was worth it cause we did bargain to the lowest we could get
for
Dayang Bunting, Pulau Beras Basah, and Eagle Feeding

well to me it looks more like a giant ape sleeping on the sea lol...

this as you guys know...is the...
Pregnant Maiden..first the head then the chest and the hands

as we are enjoying the sunset we decided to dine in at the
beach restaurant at Cenang just a few steps away form our first Motel..

as the day gets darker
the night came by so as the MOSQUITOS LOL....
hahahahahaha....
saw those mosquitos above shae's head...hahahah
there are at least 6 of them there on top circling around his head hahah...

our dinner..
nana ordered a burger
shae ordered a mee rebus
and i ordered nasi paprik.

after dinner...we went back to the hotel and pack our stuffs and ready to head to the airport...
we sat on a Nissan Cefiro as our taxi i think...
it was so comfortable...and the price is fixed so......worth it!

well as we were happily checking in...suddenly the
funniest most serious thing happened...
LOL...............LOL
nana's luggage weighs 50kg...
no joke... 50kg..
50kg

we unpacked and pack
throw stuff kept some stuff
transfering stuffs and all...
still 50kg
no change

LOL

resulting...a rm300 fee to be paid in order to proceed with the check-in
that was 1 hell of a night ...with laughters!!!

Roxy Summer Splash 2008

Roxy Summer Splash....hmm...sounds interesting...

a bunch of us Taylorians...decided to go to the summer splash since our part-time job at Eastin has been cancelled..sort of happy actually... get to relax and have fun for a while from those assignments and presentations...

Happily...we reach there can say quite early...10am++ for the Goodie Bags

since they said there will be only 1000 goodie bags to give away...

so by not knowing what is in the bag we definitely wanna have 1 cause FREE ma..

you will nvr know what is inside ..

well this is the crowd...F***ing a lot of pple....

so stuffy also....all those CO2.. i think Sunway's O2 lvl decrease a lot lor...

1/2 of us were there at 10++

which is shannon, june, joanne , su fen, jay and me....

slowly...nana and her friends join in and jay's friends as well...

so as we are happily lining up for the entrance...

when the clock strike 12++pm the kinda like opened the entrance..

and guess what from a 3 lines queue became a 100 lines queue......

darn that really psst me off...

that one nvm... cannot help it.. and ppl started PUSHING......

walao....

so as we sandwiched ourselves in the crowd for about , what 1 HOUR....

we are still stuck at the crowd!!!!

f**ks man...

there are mainly 2 freaking problems...that caused this stupid thing to happen...

1. Seventeen BluInc had done a really bad job in planning the queueing up for the entrance..

2. Sunway Lagoon and their stupid bag checking process which they scare they will have no business if we bring our food and drinks there..(i can understand that but come on this is a 1 day event... )

so after 2 hours of packed sardine...with all the sweaty pple and longkang smell....

we got to get through and go to the EXACT entrance...

well... we are only allowed to go to the surf beach and nothing else...if wanna go to the water park they kinda offer a promo for us...rm30 top up for the water park

which is not a bad deal...but not interested that time...

basically we didnt do much there...

just went to the beach doing some stupid stuff lol... and hang out with others..

reagan, lin, ryan, wayne, seng kwee and his friend...

and then i think at around 3++ or 4pm we kena halau from the beach for the surfers.....

here onwards would be the pictures snapped when we are leaving and left the lagoon...

i am not sure this is a good or a bad thing....but looks very not organised...

and that cost me rm60....there goes my money....

this is my first time working with a bunch of chinese in a kitchen in Mandarin Oriental...
cause this is a chinese restaurant ..DUH~~!! lol...
and also the past 2 months i have been using Malay language so much till my chinese a bit wrong d lol....

i really liked the atmosphere in this kitchen and also the people there...
the first day i entered this kitchen , i dont know why but i kept on smiling and smiling...nth much LOL... just that.. maybe it's because of their communication skills in the kitchen and also the jokes that were all around the kitchen hahaha.....
this is also the first time i get to blend in with people that fast ....i am really happy about this..

this plates here are for those fried dim sums during the lunch hours...normally orders will come in and there will be a few pegs clip together with it and we will place the pegs to the respectives dishes stated on the bb plate...

well since i am a BANANA.......i cant read chinese symbols...that well..i decided to write the Pin Yin version of it... ahahah for the ease for me to collect order faster...see very EfficiEnt leh...

these are prepared for functions with buffet styles..

this product is used to clean the prawns after they the shells are all ripped of LOL... after putting this powder in the water soaked with prawns , continuous flow of water is need to clean the prawns...the starting of this process will create a lot of bubbles which is just like having a bubble bath but this time the prawns have it LOL...

there was once i was in the butchery section of the kitchen...i was taught to remove the skin of the fillet and slice them to a certain size... believe it is NOT EASY !!!

this is a sea cucumber...really my first time seeing it that big...nvr really thought thatit can be this HUGE....

this would be the 200 pax dinner in the ballroom...a western cuisine... so there would be a lot of plates involved...need a lot of man power to garnish and stuff...

well back to the kitchen....when free the butcher chefs will SLAUGHTER some crabs and cook them in steam and guess what... we will start to slowly remove all the meat from the shell....so .....nothing to say......

this really is cruel....well... the story started like this....

the crab got the chance to break itself free from the strings that are tied around it including the snappers...so... it got so excited...it eventually jumped out from the container as well....... so semangat... LOL..and ended up... got discovered by a chef and since it was so fierce... and they dont really know how to tie the crab back , they decided to kill it lol....

well firstly the snappers are destroyed ...so sad leh...... so that it wont attack anyone and harm us..

YES finally.... here lies the Award Wining Dessert....and am proud to announce the Man darin Oriental's Famous DURIAN PANCAKE!!!!!
it will cost you rm15 for a plate of 3 pieces : )

well i got to eat it for FREE heheheh....i normally eat the ones that cant be sold of due the the kebocoran of the pancake wrap...which is superbly thin and hard to make...

this dessert even got it's own license so that no one could make this and sell it anywhere else ...only Mandarin Oriental KL has it!!!

it is made up of cream and durian flesh as the filling

this is the promo dish of dim sum...which consist of 2 slices of Bao Yu and bao Yu cubes wrapped in the dumpling... it cost around rm20++ for a dish...which is quite worth it : )

this would be the westernized Gui Ling Gao dessert...as you can see... the deco is mor to french style...it contains a fried gui ling gao with rock melon strips and the normal cold one...

today, 21 Feb 2008 would be the day i turn 19 hhahahah...

i feel OLD lol......but what the hack.. life still goes on hehe...enjoying every moment of it :)

well... today is really a great day for me since it is my B'Day!!

On The 20th Feb 2008

went for training as usual but i requested for a morning shift
8am - 4pm so that i could have an early family dinner for my B'day
because....~~~ on the 21 feb = Chap Goh Mei(15th day of CNY)
how cool is that!! haha
usually on Cha Goh Mei i will be having a reunion dinner @ my grandma's place
so i celebrated my B'day earlier with my parents and bro..:D

Before the dinner!!!

when it was like about 3.45pm after my briefing with the Manager in Biba's Cafe
i was asked wether or not i wanna join their staff training
so at 1st i told him NO because i would be preparing for my dinner later...
after a while as i think further... since i am a trainee...-_-"
i should be taking every chances i have to be involved in programmes that the restaurants
conducted...so later on around 4pm i told my Manager, Mr Iskandar...
i wanna go for the staff training :)

there are 2 reasons for me to go...
1. as i have mention above i am a trainee!!
2. it's a WINE TASTING session

this wine tasting session is specially for those staffs involved in F&B Dep.
so every restaurant will send some of their staffs to be present for the training..

as you can see.. MO(Mandarin Oriental) is bringing in some new brands of wine to change their Wine List Menu... not to bored the guest you see..
so i went with some of the staffs there...to a small meeting room but it could fit quite a lot of pple i was pretty shocked when i see those glasses each person has hahah....

they will be bringing in
~~8 red wines
~~8 white wines

so there would be
~~8 red wine glasses
~~8 white wine glasses
~~1 water goblet to rinse your mouth:) hahhaa

the supplier will of course tell us about the types of grapes they are using for the wines and the manufacturers

since i am not a wine expert ~~~ all of the red wines taste the same to me!!!
all the white wines taste the same to me!!! :LOL hahahahah
well i did learn something from that tasting hehe...

1. the darker the wine the fuller bodied it will be
2. the swriling of the glass lets us know wether the it is a light or a medium or full-bodied wine as well...well sort of like...when you swirl, the wine kinda sticks on the surface in the wine glass and it will drop back to the bottom of the glass ... from there if you see the wine drops fast means that the wine is a light wine :)

of course i got to try all the wines right... but i wasnt that greedy :) i just sip every wine there so i can maintain my redness of my face DUH!!! hahahahaha

some other staffs got nothing better to do , they mix all the wine together and drink it at a shot...and ended up SLEEPING with their RED FACES just like a Baboon's Azz LOL!!!! hilarious man.... thank GOD they did not snore hahaha

So now moving on with my B'day dinner with my parents...
this time we chosed to go to Shangri-la's Japanese Restaurant, ZIPANGU
the ambience was alright ... it could get a little brighter there...
but the food was good!! hehe.

It's on the flOor~~ so nice!!

this would be da Chawanmushi~~~so soft so nice hehe...

after chawanmushi comes the seafood soup...tasted GREAT...i finished it of course hehe....

this would be the Chef's Speciality ...it is made out of GOOSE LIVER on the top and radish at the bottom...sounds disgusting at first but when i had my first bite to it , it felt so soft just like Tofu lol....it has a really unique taste from the browned part on the top . it tasted a bit sweet ..first time eating liver and this is a good 1 hehe...

the long waited Tempura Platter is finally here :)

Chicken Terriyaki as well ... my bro pulak ordered another set...but i forgotten the name if it d... it is the same as mine but he has extra chicken terriyaki...

well... there are these!!! flower stands beautifully decorated but i am not sure where are they going to put it cause my restaurant did not ordered it but it looks great!!! after putting those candles on the candle holder should be the most perfect thing!!

well on the first day which is yesterday...

woke up quite late about 10am... cause the night before i got only 6 hours of sleep because of my shift ...+ after the family dinner... need to be home to do some preparation for a praying ceremony...which is about 1am++...

see... so tiring leh...

after i woke up... get prepared...wore a red sweater LOL... and a pair of jeans

i know it is a bit crazy wearing sweater in the morning but i have no choice cause that is the only red garment i have...:P

it is not that hot actually...was alright hehe...

after that i wished my parents and bro Happy CNY haha...then get ang pou lor hahahha....

after everyone is ready then we went to my grandma's place where everyone gathers there every CNY.. so this would be our Yap's Central hahahha.....

when we reached there...as usual...snow will be barking away......like a mad dog.....

it has no reasons for barking... as we enter the house it barks...

as we approach the entrance snow will be in the cage...-_-" so this means... this dog only do the SCARING but NOT the BITING....

anyways... the house was filled with relatives though the place is a bit small but makes us stand closer together and have more conversations which is a good thing as i dont really see my relatives that often...

well we as kids , our 2nd motive there is to get Ang Pao lor hahaha what else lol...

i also ate Cai for half a day hehe... means Vegetarian for half a day

the food was of course delicious!! hehe...

after those ang pou collecting all my young cousins and I went upstairs and have a meeting hehe.... some playing dota...and some played Chor Tai De

well of course no betting was involved...just for fun...:)

about 3pm...

we start to go to some relatives homes...for visiting...[ to get more ang pou] haha...

after that... we back to my grandms's place about 7pm...

i took a nap while waiting for dinner hehe......

after dinner we gamble a bit playing BlackJack with my aunties and uncle...hehe...

played with small amount of money and i didnt really win much...but was fun hahaha..

cause if there is no gambling it wont be CNY hahaha...

At last~~~my 1st month of training is completed...~~~~
hehe....kinda happy but will miss the place cause it's very relaxing there...not much stress

but as far as i know the 2nd department will be a hell lot of work to do there...

tHis woUld be the poolside area... which is considered the most exp area in this hotel cause of the Magnificent view over-looking the KLCC park and the Convention Centre~~~even Trader's Hotel LOL.....

this would be my little babies~~!! hahah cause in Cascade we use them everyday for the guests . if we dont give the guest ice water IT'S WRONG ~!!!!

this would be the SILVERWARE JUG that i always used to fill up those babies of mine before i serve them to the guests.... not only that but we also refill those half-full glasses of the guest... and sometimes we give the whole jug for the tennis players...-_-"

when the JUG + Glass you will get this :) with a lemon slice as well!!

well this would be the centre-piece for the tables...they wont be replaced till they are DRY and DEAD LOL......hahahahhaha

this would be the so called 'life saving equipment' but so far it has not been used ..there are 2 reasons behind it....1. it is freaking hard and by the time you throw it to the victim , the victim will be knocked down by this 'SAVING EQUIPMENT'~~~!!!

2. the swimming pool is not that deep LOL....and to me it is quite small... what a pity....

so since i am an "employee" there now..i am not allowed to use the guest entrance anymore...T_T
i will be using the back way~~~which is at the basement... fyi. it is opposite the entrance of KL Convention Centre...:)

wa...so hot down there....well... everything was good there but the only thing is that...their staff lift is too darn little which is only 1 ....so this is slowing all operations.........including my outfit change...
everytime i need to wait at least 5-10 minutes for the lift to arrive...
so if i come late = GG

1 best thing that is good there would be the meals for the staffs...in my opinion it is very understanding of Mandarin to actually supply a buffet style meal for their staffs...
so we can eat as much as we can drink as much as we can....sometimes there are ice creams too..~~~
so in a day i only need to spend for my transportation and nothing else..
i can save a lot of pocket money this time yea~~~

firstly i would like to write about my 2008 New Year experience on the 1st Jan 08 and the day before where all the celebrations are being enjoyed on the 31st Dec 07....

i was about to go out celebrating and have a good buffet dinner.....
and turned out the WORST thing that could happen to someone during this kind of occassion...
i got a DIARRHEA.......WTH man....
ruin my mood...my consumption for the night...
only thinking bout foods that would be in my mouth and tummy from the buffet....
but not in the reality...

i ate porridge KOSONG...and because of the gas that is in my stomache...
i cant eat bread...
for my case....i cant eat vegetables...dairy products as well...haihzzz.............somemore cannot eat FRUITS~~!!!!!
so i only ate porridge and oat crackers....

on Wednesday..[26/12/07]

someone came up with this party the week before...

and it is a christmas cum farewell party ...the pot luck style..

farewell of course to the pple going to Penang for training next year...

mana tahu....no one called pple to the party...

ended up 7 humans came...

those humans are...june ,reagan ,shae ,jay ,junior ,nana ,nana's bro shafiq and mE...

what a huge party...

and out of 8 pple there... only 3 person not going to penang..

the party supposed to start @ 7.00pm...
a lot of pple arrived late...including me...
of course i dont have the intention to come late...
i was cooking pasta...at home LOL...
so i went there around 8.20pm and i thought i was the latest....
but shae wasn't here yet...
and guess what... nana was even later...hhahahah....
she was lost on the roads...for 3++ hours...LOL...

we got so hungry we ate first ...sorry nana....we did ask for your permission first hahahah...
so ngam...there is only 1 main course...which is my pasta ahhahaha.....

everyone ate like there is no tomorrow ahhha...
it taste good~~~~~~~~~~
this is actually my first time cooking for my friends...hehe...
and it turned out edible so ok la ahhaha....

then we tried the tortilla sauce shae made....

he was so mad seeking revenge in us for putting Chilli Padis LOTS OF THEM....
your first bite will be tasty...but as time passes....
there comes the pain on the tongue...
everyone was like water..water..water...~~~!!!!
then the smart junior suggested sip some milk to cool of the tongue hehe...
well...i didnt do that ahhha....i am a MAN ma...only june and junior did...hehe....
even june's mom tried it and she said it was spicy and we were laughing our ass out downstairs...
hahahhha...

around 10.30pm++ nana arrived....LOL....
she is 3hours +++ late...kesian her....
but reagan left....cause he got plans with his other friends....
nana brought in the KFC & sushi

so we started MakAniNg...agian 2nd round lol...
as usual...we will be taking pictures....ahhaha but it is not with me now...
june and shae has it...so will upload it later...

nana brought this hazelnut syrup which she asked us to mix it in the coffee...

it smells GREAT...and taste good too...no sugar is added to the coffee only the syrup..
smells like dessert to me actually...

oh ya...june made this dessert...
she put vanilla ice-cream , oreos , white choc , black choc , and some ice cubes..
taste good....

after that we chatted........while waiting for jay...
jay was our last minute guest...just came to have some fun...
then we chatted......chatted.....chatted.....

and shannon's main game that night was LOCKING PPLE OUT of junes's house...
omg he darn lame lo....
there are 3 entrances in her house
1. the front door...
2. the garden entrance
3. the back entrance [kitchen]

so the victims are...Nana, me and jay basically...

shae and june did try out junior's beatle car LOL...
after a while we played some games...like congkak and uno stacko...
and that was our night there....
fun though hhaha...

LOLZ... last friday i was lucky enough to meet Rainie @ 1 Utama..
cause i didnt really planned to see her lol...
not that i dont want to but i dont really have the time...

anyways...after my part-time work...
i went back to my grandma's place to wait for my dad...
suddenly i heard my cousin saying that they are going to 1U to see rainie...LOL..
she will be having an Autograph Session-Singing event...to promote her new album..
i was of course happy...hahhaha and so did I follow them...

so we went there...trying to get the best spot to see her...
mana tahu...it was quite empty...not really crowded with pple...
we were like...why is this so...cause that time was around 7.30pm
and the event suppose to start at 8.30pm..
normally in this situation it will be crowded with pple since she is famous..
since she wont be out till around 9.00pm we went to the mall to get some air-cond and to shop a bit...

when the time has come...we went out...
and saw her singing...~~ ^ ^ hehe...
she quoted something that all the fans agree with even I myself...
'I am unhappy because my fans are very far away from me' 2x (TWICE)
which is darn true....how stupid for the organisers to set the chairs for the reporters...
and VIP in front for like 7-8 rows...and those fans are behind them
... and the best part is that the chairs in front are NOT FULLY OCCUPIED......
so that is a waste of space...and empty......

after the singing she proceeded to her autograph session

after a while...THE WORST THING EVER HAPPENED to an event which is located in the outdoor....
it started raining...lol...kinda suit her name a bit LOL rainie...

since it was raining...they continued with some umbrella in hand...
but as it got heavier...then cannot d la hahahah....
she stopped autographing and went to her resting place behind the stage...
and that is the best time to say HI to her personally LOL...
i was just beside the stage so when she comes down i can say something to her...hahahah

this is what i said...
'Hi Cheng Ling(her chinese name)'
she replied 'Hi'

cOol huh..~~ahhahahah
anyways the rain was so heavy the actua;;y looked for a new place for the session to go on...
they got the balcony area which is just beside the stage...

since they are having a 20% discount for all items in the store that is with the white tag..

means those best buys.. and other discounted items are not included...

so for my CD i got a nice 20% dc XD

actually i dont really like Tower Records... cause most of their CDs sold there is very expensive...

so i seldom go there buy...only during SALE i go there see see hhahaha...

must be a good consumer ma...compare the price get to save some money is good for the future!!...

anyways about the contents of this cd...

the title for this album is 'Chin Wah Singing The Best Of Gold Label'

Gold Label is her previous singing company...which is under Paco Wong...

early of this year she changed to Amusic which is under Leon Lai..

all of the songs in this cd are famous and hit songs sang by other singers in Gold Label

for eg. Leo Ku , Justin Lo , Kary Ng , Stephy , Edmond Leong , Alex Fong and many more...

yesterday atika, june, joanne, nana and me...went to redbox to sing PUAS PUAS...LOL...

besides singing we are also having a dinner buffet there...

which there are quite some varieties for us there..enjoyed it!!

eventually..THEY CAME LATE!!!!except atika...:)

waited about an hour somemore....you know right...time = money = fun

so 1 hour = 60x the fun...

they arrived around 4.30..........-_-"

we supposed to sing from 3.30pm till 8.00pm....

haih....

so as usual picking songs till the list is FULL...

everyone tried to sing as good as nana...but kinda failed...

nana was like singing like BIG MAMA...LOL....

so funny...

unfortunately...they only gave us 3 mics and they are not good at all....

the mics range from loudest to the softest...how lame is that...

but we still scream our lungs out so who cares... lalalala

ahahhahaha our voices could be heard even with the DOOR CLOSED~~~

i think they need to hire us to shout at pple LOL...

as usual...shannon will be singing SO OFF PITCH...to all the songs..

we actually went to this really nice place called the Look-Out place...

it's called the ALFRESCO DINING...

there are also other restaurants there...but we chosed to go alfresco ^^

it is located at Ampang and it is meant for admiring the night views in KL or can I say the whole KL ..~~XD

the view of course was SUPERBLY FANTASTIC... just speechless...

i also did some art work with my cam...and i really liked it !!!

well first we had our dinner-cum-supper there ...so late...lol

haha...
exams over d so kinda happy and yet sad.....
happy cause finally all those stress hat is in my head has finally disappeared
into the MPH when the clock strikes 6.00pm on a very cooling friday evening...XD

felt really good though...felt like all the burden has been let down with just writing answers..on a piece of paper and waiting for time to pass..lol... how easy was that...~~~
so now...since i am so FREE with only some plans ahead of me...
i am feelling a bit bored ...and...
next year's industrial training...i will be alone in mandarin oriental~~~!!!
and most of my classmates will be in PENANG...how sad is that...
haih gonna miss them for about 3 months...
nvm la...life is like a road that meant to be walked down alone sometimes...

[25/11/07] was 1 hell of a day/night.....

it was the best moments in my life...i just wanted to cry....

till now i am still in the mood for concert.....

i am feeling so high.... LOL....

well i am planning to express the experience i went through together with some pictures... :)

well i am a VAD [ Volunteer Aid Detachment] member...

so.....^^ Live & Loud asked the Malaysian Red Crescent for some stand-by duty incase if the crowd or the staffs got any injuries since the concert was SO HIGH it obviously make someone HIGH and do something very DIFFERENT than others...^^^(touch-wood) LOL...

the concert was held at Bukit Kiara Equastrian & Country Resort

so obviously I volunteered myself to go [you know me ^^]

i was a bit worried bout class on monday which is today...cause the concert will end around 12.00am...so you know la... got restaurant service....need to be prepared...

so sadly i took the morning shift which is from 11.00am-6.00pm...

i thought there wont be any thing to do or see there...

and then.......i heard voices...singing....nice melodies....WooHoo...

i never had thought that there will be rehearsal for the singers before they perform lol!!!!!^^

BUT~~~~~~~~

they only started to practtice from around 2++pm....

so still need to wait lor...BUT WORTH IT LOL....^^

the first person i saw rehearsing was Michael Wong[Guang Liang]

i was like.....is that for real!?!?!?!?!?!?......

i was allowed to go near the stage cause i have the PASS!!!!whoo hoo....

i feel like i am someone...for once...

i was watching him singing, testing the mic, sound check.....all those stuff....

WAH....hearing him singing to just a bunch about less than 10 pple was like HEAVAN~~~~

ngehehehe....

after that heavenly moment.............................................

yet another part-time job and this time it is in Marks & Spencer @ The Gardens..
they are having their winter collection fashion show
we are all going there under Bakerzin :D

the WE are Joanne, Wayne, Shannon, Christy, Nikki, Theng Theng, Philbert, Su Fen and of course ME...
there are also some other friends from our college..but dont really know their name ...

well basically, we are waiters and waiteresses there so we serve people...

we went there around 6pm and we are given the GREATEST uniform i have ever worn LOL

but that girl kinda mistakenly given me a BABY T ..... -_-"
so i went back to change again....haih...so mafan.....

by 7.30pm we started serving...but i wasnt serving that time...cause i was the runner at that moment..... it is a long hourney back to the cafe just to wash the wine glasses....

1. Go to the lift which is like...100m away........SO FAR
2. Take the lift to 3rd floor...
3. After that , come out from the lift and go in to the ISETAN staff entrance...
4. Take the staff lift back to 2nd floor......
5. Come out from the lift and walk for a short distance about 200m through the back of the
the house of ISETAN
6. I will then reach the Bakerzin outlet of Isetan and wash those glasses...
7. After that i would go back to the event place THE SAME WAY......

well that's about the jouney for the runner to RUN.....what a race..........-_-"

after all those running....i can start SERVING...so happy........^_^
well that time the fashion show already started...but didnt really focused on those clothes....
so many uNclE aUntie arOuND.........chor teng..

after serving for a while... i went back to running again.....-_-''

finished running i heard someone singing~~~~!!!
it was DAYANG NURFAIZAH......
the runway was so long........i didnt even know where the hell is she.....and somemore so crowded...

i always liked to see celebrities so i cant lose this oppoturnity to see her ngehehehe...
as i was serving...serving...serving...and finally i saw her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i served her somemore WAH.................
she smiled at ME~~~~~
so i served her agian and again and again~~~~~~~~~~~until she is full!!!

oh ya....i forgotten the menu thing.. we served...
1. prawn pizza (everyones fav)
2. roasted chicken in cucumber cup(my fav)
3. mushroom tart
4. otak otak with some kind of bread
5. prawn tart

6. mixed fruit tart
7. strawberry tart
8. choc moose tart

all finger food~~~~deLicIous.........

guess what... they cant finish the sparlking wine....WE DRANK it instead....
and nikki got drunk........-_-''
it was nice....but the alchol level is only around 4%
so it wasnt anything............

they also gave us some goodie bags ....
